Patron Empowerment
Part of the library's mission is to empower patrons to access our resources more easily and make the research process less stressful overall. That includes switching to platforms that are cloud-based, such as EBSCO and OpenAthens. EBSCOhost and associated products that the library subscribes to and that many library patrons are familiar with as a way of searching for articles, videos, books and more! Linscheid Library is proud to highlight some new and familiar options for our students, faculty, and staff:
- Logging into your library account will look the same as logging into Colleague, Blackboard, and ECU email.
- You will automatically have a MyEBSCO account through OpenAthens.
- Save and share research folders with other ECU patrons.
- Save images, videos, information about companies, and more!
- Save permalinks in your folder.
- Request holds for items that are checked out.
- Download eBooks.
- Create alerts for keywords, journals, and other resources..
