How to Access Library Resources

Information about OpenAthens and EBSCO Discovery Service

Saving Articles, Searches, and More

You will still find some familiar features on EBSCO Discovery Services (EDS), such as the ability to save articles to a folder you can access later. Now there are more subfolders that allow you to save images, videos, companies, and searches in a convenient manner!

The MyEBSCO folder is located on the upper right hand corner of the tool bar in EDS. Below is a screenshot of the toolbar with the Folder button circled:

When doing research in EDS, you can save resources to your folder by clicking on "Add to folder", located in the Tools section of the right hand side of the page. Se the image below:

Most content that is designated as an image, video, or company will go to the correct subfolder. Any material not available directly from EBSCO, such a book held by Linscheid Library, will be assigned to the Articles folder.

Creating a Note

You can also create notes for articles and other materials in EDS. When you have a resource open, using the "Create Note" feature in the Tools section will allow you to type in a note that will get saved to your folder. See the image below:

A note field will pop up in the center of the screen where you can type a notes about the resource. Remember to click "Save" after typing!

All saved notes are found in the "Notes" subfolder of your MyEBSCO folder, along with a link back to the resource attached to the note. Clicking on "View Context" will take you directly to the resource.
