Steps for Creating a Literature Review
- Search in library databases for sources on your chosen topic.
- Explore gathered sources by synthesizing research. (HINT: Organize by using a Lit Review Matrix)
- Write the literature review based on your synthesis/matrix. (HINT: Remember the lit review is NOT a summary of the sources gathered, but a synthesis of sources based on how they connect to YOUR research question)

If you want to access materials that Linscheid Library does not have, you can request them through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). This can include articles not available in full text, books not on the shelves, dissertations from other institutions, and more.
