The Annual Student Exhibition is a tradition among Art Schools that is decades old. The Faculty exhibit their work in the Fall semester as a means of demonstrating their expertise, the students respond in the Spring with works demonstrating what they have learned. The Student Exhibition is juried and the best works are presented. This reflects the essence of what art education is, the process of learning to make aesthetic responses to challenges that engage an audience.
