Spring 2020 Senior Exhibits: Adrianna George

This exhibition is a cumulative statement of the students' preparation to proceed in an art career beyond the baccalaureate degree.

Chasing the Killer Within

Adrianna George

Welcome to my Senior Exhibit.
I tasked myself with creating concept art for a game that I first envisioned my Junior year of high school.
The game is a horror-mystery, where the player must solve a murder case and identify the killer – but there’s a twist.

Artist Statement:

Chasing the Killer Within is a collection of concept art that I would present to a game developer if they were going to help me bring this game to life. There are visuals of location backgrounds as well as character designs for both the main player and killer and even some dialogue scenes. I designed each location to correspond with different times of day – sunrise, sunset, and night. I took inspiration from a hidden object game called Mystery Case Flies, which was a big part of my life growing up.  The player goes around solving puzzles and finding clues, trying to figure out who the killer is. However, there’s a twist – the killer is the player themselves. The player suffers from a personality disorder – during the day they are a normal, average girl, while at night they become a homicidal killer.
