This show is based on a passion and desire for better environmental practices and what we all are doing daily to cause detriment.
Sometimes it takes seeing things in a new way to make us change our habits.

Artist Statement:

As an artist, my goal is to make work that creates change - change that focuses on the way we treat our planet's other inhabitants and environment. I want to spread awareness of new and sustainable practices and help develop our ability to cohabitate with other species. It is crucial to our future, and realizing the roadblocks we’re setting up for ourselves is the path to harmony.

I work primarily as a digital artist and graphic designer, usually preferring to work in Procreate, Illustrator, InDesign, or Photoshop. I try to tie my interest in environmental issues into my graphic design work by developing awareness posters, infographics, etc. When digitally painting, I tend to work in a more surrealistic approach in composition but I try to create accurate and recognizable representations of my subjects. I try letting what’s realistic flow in and out of the piece, not unlike our own perceptions of ourselves as a species. I’m also deeply interested in scientific illustration such as paleoart which is in part due to my background and early studies in biology.
