Should on-campus instruction be suspended for any reason, ECU’s face-to-face and blended courses will transition to online/virtual delivery within 72 hours. Online courses will continue as scheduled.
Whether classes are postponed due to weather, illness, utility and infrastructure, or other emergency, ECU offers many resources to support academic continuity. Blackboard Learn is the University's learning management system. It is hosted by Blackboard to ensure a stable and reliable environment 24/7. The Blackboard system offers three core platforms: East Central University is transitioning from Blackboard Learn's Standard version to Ultra over the course of the next academic year.
