Flipster is a new electronic way to access periodicals such as ARTnews, Forbes, Aperture, and Good Housekeeping through your EBSCO account. You can search or browse by title or subject. Flipster is also connected to the "Everything" search on the library website's home page.

The Advanced Search option lets you search for a topic within a category and narrow down your results even further by magazine title or publisher. You can also opt to apply related words to your search or look for full text results.

To browse for a magazine, click on any of these categories as shown below.

All of the titles within that category will appear on the next page, where you can click on a title.

There are many ways to browse a periodical.

If you click on any of the featured headlines, it will take you straight to that article.

If you are looking for something specific, you can search within the issue you're browsing as well as other available issues. Hover over the magazine logo to go to the website or Facebook page (if available). Some periodicals even have the option for you to subscribe to them.

To access the table of contents and all other available issues, click on "All Issues." The "Contents Gallery" feature lets you see all tables of contents for all available issues.

Browse quickly through pages by clicking on "Pages."

In "Settings," you can opt to show one page at a time, zoom out on a page change, or change the fit of the page on the screen.

To get a full-screen view of the magazine, click on the gray framed rectangle icon next to the search box and magazine logo.

Use the zoom feature to get an even closer look at a page.

Click "Print" to either print all pages or only the pages shown on the screen.

To save the issue as a PDF file, click "Print". In the print dialog box, click "Cancel." After that, click on the download icon on the right-hand corner of the screen next to the print icon. A "Save As" dialog box should pop up on the screen. Type in the name you want to save the file as in the "File Name" box and click "Save." Alternatively, you can save the issue to the folder on your EBSCO account.

Please ask a library employee if you need help using Flipster!
